Yonathan began riding at the age of 5. At 13, he started riding with horse trainer Ilan Rosenberg, it was then Yonathan was introduced to Reining. Yonathan rode with Ilan until the age of 16 at which time he began training on his own. At 18 he began a three year term of military service.  After his military service Yonathan had the opportunity to manage a large equestrian facility, one of the largest riding schools in Israel with over 200 students and 5 instructors. He regularly took at least thirty to thirty-five youth and non-pro students to surrounding AQHA shows. 

After his success in Israel, Yonathan decided to move to the United States to further his education in the training of Reining Horses. He trained under NRHA Professional Multi Million Dollar rider, Craig Schmersal for over 6 years gaining as much knowledge as possible about the 2 and 3 year old programs, learning show strategies and gaining experience in aged events.

Yonathan has been training horses for over fifteen years which has led to the great success of “Baruch Reining Horses” which premiered in 2012. Yonathan is determined to be the best he can be. For years he has worked tirelessly, striving to help each horse reach it’s maximum potential. He attributes most of his success to his attention to detail and gives every horse the very best of care and training possible.
 

Yonathan’s training operation is based in Whitesboro, Texas. It is a prime location located midway between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth Texas which is the heart of the Performance Horse industry.
